On 29th December ,2019 FWLD launched a translated and compiled document of the .“International Conventions Against Statelessness.” As the CEDAW Concluding Observations on 6th periodic report of Nepal has recommended Nepal to adopt 1954 Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons and the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness in order to increase public awareness on the necessity of the adoption of the convention. The Compilation of the Translated Conventions was launched by Honorable Anup Raj Sharma, Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) the Chief Guest of the program and Mr. Deependra Kafle ,the Secretary of National Women Commission (NWC). The program was attended by a total number of 80 participants that included Officials from National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), National Women Commission (NWC), media houses and Civil Society.
