A consultation meeting on the content and process for writing the CEDAW Shadow Report to get submitted in the main session was conducted on 12th July, 2018 at FWLD.
Article 9 (Nationality), Article 13 (Economic and Social Benfits) Article 16 (Marriage and Family Relations) and Article 2 (Obligation of the State) of the CEDAW were discussed.
Specifically,
CAC Nepal, RISE, Civil Society Network on Citizenship Rights, CWAD, Maiti Nepal were involved in the discussion on Article 9. RRN, Centre for Agro, Ecology and Development were involved in the discussion on Article 13. JURI Nepal, CARE Nepal, LACC, CAC Nepal, NDWA, NMWWS were involved in the discussion on Article 16 and CWAD, BDS, INSEC, J4A were involved in the discussion on Article 2.
