FWLD organized a “Conference with Citizenship Affected Network” on December 8; 2019. The program was chaired jointly chaired by Advocate Meera Dhungana the president of FWLD and Dipti Gurung the president of Citizenship Affected People’s Network. Honorable Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel the Chairperson of Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee and Honorable Nira Devi Jairu the Chairperson of State’s Directive Principles, Policies and Obligation Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee attended the program as Special Guests while Honorable Bodh Maya Yadav, Honorable Chand Tara Kumari, and Honorable Nawaraj Silwal attended the conference as guests. The program was attended by a total number of 103 participants that included parliamentarians, media persons, people affected by citizenship, civil society, and members from Citizenship Affected People’s Network. Honorable Dr. Binda Pandey presented a paper on “Problems related to citizenship and way forward.”The people affected by citizenship shared their grief and procedural hurdles with the parliamentarians.
