FWLD conducted an “Advocacy Meeting on the implementation of the Concluding Observations forwarded by the CEDAW Committee to Nepal with regard to citizenship rights” on 23rd August, 2019 in coordination with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The program was chaired by Honourable Anup Raj Sharma the chairperson of National Human Rights Commission and also the former Chief Justice of Supreme Court. The program was participated by a total number of 71 participants from different fraternities like government officials, media persons, and civil society. The participants included different high-level officials from Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Women, Children & Social Welfare, Ministry of internal affairs and law Province-03, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Social Welfare Council, National Women Commission, Nepal Police and Chief District Officers from different districts. The program was moderated by Manju Khatiwada the Deputy Director of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) while Honourable Mohna Ansari the Member of National Human Rights Commission highlighted the objectives of the program and facilitated the program.
