FWLD is seeking a consultant/expert to conduct a fact-finding study to document abuses, violence, and violations experienced by women during pregnancy and childbirth in Nepal under the project “Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Justice in Nepal”.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in law with at least 5 years of experience in developing strategies, analysis and research, training, and curriculum development.
  • Prior experience of working on SRHR issues, including gender inequality, diversity, and social inclusion.

Responsibility:

The consultant will lead a fact-finding study focused on the experiences of women during pregnancy and childbirth within the designated study area. The core responsibility involves documenting instances of abuse, violence, and rights violations encountered by these women. Furthermore, the consultant will take a leading role in directing the enumerators throughout the data and information collection process. The study’s comprehensive approach aims not only to shed light on the prevalence and nature of these negative experiences but also to identify specific areas where improvements in care and support are urgently needed.
