FWLD is seeking a consultant/expert to draft and develop a model law on infertility and assisted reproduction for Nepal under the project “Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Justice in Nepal”.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in law with at least 5 years of experience in developing strategies and policies, analysis and research, training, and curriculum development.
- Prior experience of working on SRHR issues, including gender inequality, diversity, and social inclusion.
Responsibility:
The consultant will be responsible for the comprehensive drafting and development of a model law on infertility and assisted reproduction specifically for Nepal. This requires research into existing national and international legal frameworks, and best practices relevant to Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) and infertility treatment. The role will require synthesizing diverse inputs, translating complex medical and ethical concepts into clear provisions, and ensuring the proposed law is sensitive and contextually appropriate for Nepal’s socio-legal landscape. The consultant will be responsible for revisions based on stakeholder feedback, ultimately delivering a final legal framework. The applicant must submit;
