Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle legal issues and cases under the guidance of the Executive Director and Program Coordinator.
- Offer legal counseling and facilitate citizenship and birth registration cases.
- File cases related to legal identity issues, particularly citizenship certificates and birth registrations.
- Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other project-related events.
- Support in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
- Ensure the smooth operation of legal cases.
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Program Coordinator and as needed.
- Undertake additional responsibilities based on abilities and program needs.
Person Specification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Advocate License from the Bar Council of Nepal.
- Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in handling legal issues and cases.
- Understanding of development issues.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including coursework and/or internships.
Work Environment
The Legal Officer will work directly with the Executive Director and Program Coordinator.
