Translation, Review, and Strengthening of the Draft Report on the observation of the election of the House of Representatives, 2082 from the GEDSI Perspective

Background
FWLD has prepared a draft Election Observation Report on the House of Representatives Election, 2082, from a Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) perspective in the Nepali language. To ensure the wider dissemination, analytical rigor, clarity, and quality of the report, FWLD seeks a consultant to translate, review, edit, and strengthen the report in the English language.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities
The Consultant shall undertake the following tasks:
– Translate the draft Report on House of Representatives Election Observation, 2082 from a Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) perspective into English language.
– Review and refine the draft report to improve clarity, structure, coherence, and analytical presentation.
– Strengthen the report through enhanced analysis of election observation findings and GEDSI-related issues.
– Ensure consistency of terminology, data presentation, findings, and recommendations throughout the report.
– Finalize and submit the strengthened English version of the Election Observation Report within the agreed timeline.
Expected Deliverables
The Consultant is expected to submit:
- The Final edited and proofread English version of the report, incorporating feedback from FWLD.
Duration of Assignment
The assignment shall be completed within 15 days from the date of signing the agreement.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Interested candidates should possess:
- At least 10 years of proven professional experience in research and analysis in human rights, women’s rights, or social inclusion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Demonstrated prior experience working with GEDSI perspectives, particularly gender equality, disability, and social inclusion
- Strong understanding of the Nepalese election system.
- Prior working experience in the election process and observation.
- Excellent command of the English language.
Payment Schedule
Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables, as specified in the contract agreement.
