A national seminar on ‘Establishment of Jurisprudence on the Effective Implementation of Economic and Social Rights through PIL’ was conducted on 7th Nov, 2016 at Kathmandu. Representatives from diverse field including NHRC, ILF, CeLRRd, PPR Nepal were invited. The seminar was basically focused on the justiciability of economic and social rights and to portray the inter-dependency and inter-relation between the civil and political rights and economic and social rights. The seminar included discussion, remarks and presentations made by the participants. The entire session was graced by former chief justice Kalyan Shrestha, Chairman of NHRC Anup Raj Sharma, President of NBA Sher Bahadur KC and other dignitaries.
