FWLD in collaboration with SAATHI organized a meeting with UN Special Rapporteur Dubravka Simonovic on Violence Against Women at Ageno on 26th Nov, 2018. CEDAW Committee member Bandana Rana moderated the session. Representatives from various NGOs attended and addressed the concerns on violence against women issues in Nepal. Altogether 9 speakers spoke on the various issues of violence including trafficking, single women, domestic violence, harmful traditional practices, nationality, sexual minority, stereotyping, conflict related sexual violence and sexual violence and impunity. The program was wrapped upon with the comments of the Special Rapporteur and vote of thanks by Sabin Shrestha.
