FWLD provided logistic and technical support to the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen to organize a consultation meeting on the draft bill on amendment of some acts on penalization of Violence against Women and compensating the victim to comply with Article 38 (3) of the Constitution. The consultation meeting was held at Alfa House on 30th March, 2018. Parliamentarian Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel was the guest of the consultation meeting while Representatives of Supreme Court, Attorney General, Nepal Police, UN Agencies, different lawyers, senior lawyers, civil society organizations and other concerned stakeholders were present at the meeting. Mr. Sabin Shrestha from FWLD presented a paper on the draft bill.
