A discussion program on Pre Session of 71st session of CEDAW with media, members of civil society and members of Shadow Report Preparation Committee (SRPC) was organized on 21st March, 2018 at Alpha House, Baneshwor.
The discussion was focused on the issues raised by civil society for facilitating the pre-sessional working group to prepare List of Issues (LOI) to be discussed on the main session. Mr. Sabin Shrestha on behalf of SRPC stated about the background of reporting process of CEDAW and the issues of citizenship, trafficking among others. Similarly, Ms. Purna Shrestha from Centre for Reproductive Rights (CRR) and Ms. Prativa Shrestha from Stri Shakti presented on issues of reproductive health and women’s education respectively.
