FWLD with the support of USAID/UKaid/Winrock International organized a Consultation Meeting with Parliamentarians on “Ratification of Palermo Protocol” on 14 August 2019. In the program, Mr. Sabin Shrestha shared the importance, necessity of Palermo Protocol and benefits of ratifying the Protocol in the context of Nepal. The discussion in the meeting was focused on the responsibilities of implementing Palermo Protocol after it’s Ratification, benefits of the Protocol and the rights for the survivors of trafficking. Parliamentarians in the meeting showed their sheer commitment to ratify the protocol and to prepare for necessary reforms in-laws in line with the protocol.
