Call for Proposal for Production and Performance of Forum Theatre

Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) is seeking for proposal from Theatre Groups or Companies or Production Houses to create and perform a forum theatre on issues related to citizenship and birth registration issues, alongside disseminating recent legal amendments in citizenship laws. The technical and budget proposal should be kept in separate envelopes and must be sealed and authorized signature and both envelops should be kept in one single large envelop and it also must be sealed and authorized signature and should be submitted preferably on or before April 5, 2024 by COB (Office Time: 5:30 pm) to FWLD Office.

 

Terms of Reference

Scope of Work

·        Develop a forum theatre production highlighting challenges stemming from the absence of citizenship certificates and difficulties in accessing birth registration and citizenship rights, alongside disseminating recent legal amendments in citizenship laws.

·        Create an engaging, informative, and thought-provoking script aimed at empowering the audience to take action on the issue.

·        Conduct a series of forum theatre performances in multiple locations across various selected districts (inside and outside Kathmandu valley).

·        Ensure that the total duration of each production is one hour.

·        Performances must be conducted in the Nepali language.

Eligibility

·        Demonstrated track record in producing and performing theatre productions in both urban and rural areas, including locations within and outside the Kathmandu Valley.

·        Comprehensive knowledge and awareness of social issues, particularly those pertaining to legal identity including citizenship and birth registration matters.

·        Legal constitution and registration under Nepalese law is a prerequisite.

Budget

Please propose a budget allocation to utilize, edit, and distribute as deemed appropriate.

• Tax clearance certificate valid up to at least 2079/80.

• Proposed budget.

• Sample of previous work.

Cost Bearing

FWLD will cover expenses related to travel, accommodation, and meals.
