Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) is seeking a proposal from Companies or Production Houses to create and disseminate a documentary film entitled “Journey towards Equal Citizenship Rights in Nepal“ that will shed light on the challenges, accomplishments, and evolving progress in the journey towards achieving equal citizenship rights. This documentary aims to provide a comprehensive visual narrative of the ongoing efforts and milestones in the pursuit of citizenship equality. The primary objectives of this documentary are to serve as a compelling medium for enhancing public awareness, educating the masses and support for the achievement for equal citizenship rights.
Terms of Reference
Scope of Work: The documentary should cover, but is not limited to, the following aspects:
- Create documentary that primarily centers on the dedicated efforts, campaigns, advocacy, and milestones achieved by FWLD over different timelines, contributing to positive reforms in citizenship laws.
- Documentary must focus on the stories of individuals and communities affected by citizenship issues followed by success stories and examples of effective interventions and their impact.
- Duration of the documentary video must be a total of (15min – 20 min).
- The documentary must be in Nepali language followed by English subtitles.
Eligibility Criteria: We invite proposals from:
- Independent filmmakers with experience in social or human rights documentaries.
- Established companies with expertise in producing high-quality documentary films.
- Teams or individuals with relevant experience in film direction, cinematography, editing, and storytelling related to social issues.
Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance to the documentary’s objectives and scope.
- Creativity and feasibility of the proposed approach.
- Potential impact and engagement of the film.
- Experience and qualifications of the film team.
Budget
- The budget is negotiable based on the detailed requirements of your proposal. Please provide a comprehensive budget breakdown and justification for the requested amount, and we are open to discussing adjustments to accommodate the scope and needs of your project.
