Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and proposals from qualified and experienced individuals, organizations, or IT companies for the development and enhancement of FWLD’s official website to make it accessible and persons with disability friendly.

The assignment aims to ensure that the FWLD website is accessible to persons with disabilities, including persons with visual impairments, persons with Deaf or hard of hearing, and persons with other disabilities. The selected service provider will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing appropriate accessibility features to ensure an inclusive and user friendly website.

Scope of Work

The selected individual, organization, or IT Company will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing FWLD’s existing official website and identifying accessibility barriers and areas for improvement.
  • Designing and developing accessible and persons with disability friendly website.
  • Incorporating appropriate accessibility features for persons with visual impairments, Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons, and persons with other disabilities.
  • Ensuring that the website is compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation.
  • Developing and implementing the website based on the ideas, requirements, and guidance provided by the FWLD team.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated prior experience in designing and developing accessible and persons with disability friendly websites.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in website accessibility for persons with disabilities.
  • Prior experience working on disability rights, inclusion, accessibility, or related issues will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines.

Budget

Interested applicants are requested to submit a detailed proposed budget for the assignment.

Ownership and Copyright

FWLD will retain full ownership and copyright of the final product, including the website design, content, source code, and all related materials developed under this assignment.

Required Documents

Interested applicants are requested to submit the following documents:

  • Letter of Interest.
  • Technical Proposal outlining the proposed approach, methodology, work plan, and timeline.
  • Registration certificate under the law of Nepal
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate at least up to Fiscal Year 2081/82
  • Detailed Proposed Budget/Financial Proposal.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the key personnel who will be engaged in the assignment.
  • Evidence or portfolio of relevant previous work and experience in developing accessible and disability inclusive websites.

Proposal Submission

The Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes. Both sealed envelopes should then be enclosed in one larger sealed envelope, duly signed or stamped by the authorized representative.
