Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) is announcing a Vacancy Announcement for two distinct positions in FWLD to work in the field of legal identity and citizenship rights. The details regarding the responsibilities, qualifications and application process can be found below:

Position 1: Programme Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Programme Coordinator to organize activities related to the project
  • Communication with Project Partners of FWLD to undertake necessary activities
  • Engage in organizing and monitoring of field research outside the Kathmandu valley
  • Prepare narrative reports on specific activities as well as periodic reports covering activities organized in the given duration
  • Undertake legal research and to prepare legal documents
  • Update the Online Bulletin of the organization

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bacherlors in Law (preferably Master’s Degree)
  • Strong proficiency in oral and written English and Nepali
  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Excellent Computer skills particularly in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Team player and independent worker
  • Resourceful and innovative
  • Commitment to human rights issues
  • Strong communication skills

Experience of 2 – 3 years in the non-profit sector is preferred. Women and members of marginalized communities are encouraged to apply.

Position 2: Documentation and Reporting Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare specific narrative reports as well as monthly and periodic reports of activities organized in the duration
  • Prepare meeting minutes and assist in organizing meetings and seminars
  • Assist the Data Analyst Expert on Data Entry, Analysis and Clearance
  • Prepare interactive reports and advocacy materials related to the project using diverse multimedia tools
  • Update the website and social media pages of the Organization related to the Project assigned

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bacherlors degree in any Science or Social Science field (preferably Master’s Degree)
  • Strong proficiency in oral and written English and Nepali
  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Excellent Computer skills particularly in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, In-line, Pagemaker and Freehand
  • Team player and independent worker
  • Resourceful and innovative
  • Commitment to human rights issues
  • Strong communication skills

Experience of 5 – 6 years in the non-profit sector is preferred. Women and members of marginalized communities are encouraged to apply.
